Dennis Lee Thompson creates his sculptural art from discarded items (a.k.a. trash).

Thompson spends hundreds of hours cutting, grinding, shaping, welding, sanding, and polishing his sculptures.

Each of these labor-intensive processes can be broken down into progressive stages.

For example, the sanding is accomplished with 8 different grits and finishes with diamond dust polishing.
